Rodney Wiltshire, Ph.D., is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he received his doctor of philosophy degree in human genetics and completed a training fellowship at the National Human Genome Research Institute, National Institutes of Health. Dr. Wiltshire continued his research training as a post-doctoral fellow at Duke University Medical Center where he also completed the Clinical Cytogenetic Fellowship. He is board certified in Clinical Cytogenetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics and is a Visiting Professor at the Universidad Nacional Pedro Ruiz Gallo in Lambayeque, Peru. His expertise and areas of interest include constitutional genetics, cancer genetics, and genomics, particularly utilizing cytogenetic and molecular genetic technologies like fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) and microarrays, to investigate inborn and neoplastic genetic abnormalities.
